Maxar is seeking a Program Manager to lead a dynamic program supporting a critical and fast-paced mission within the Intelligence Community. The program spans multiple technical disciplines and develops and delivers a cloud-based processing and exploitation environment for GEOINT analysts. The role will interact directly with engineering leadership, user outreach teams, customer representatives, division leaders and other functions across the business, including contracts, finance and security.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the overall program execution and ensuring all customer milestones are achieved. You will gather customer requirements and oversee conceptual development, through software development, test, and delivery within our development process. You will mentor and coach team members, assist with estimations and business case development, plan budgets, perform workforce planning, establish program plans and goals, perform risk management, develop and achieve annual and monthly forecasts, and report metrics and program progress to all levels of the organization. The role requires performance excellence to achieve program objectives, including delivering on cost, schedule, quality and customer requirements.

Location: Ypsilanti, MI (preferred) or Herndon, VA

Additional duties will include but are not limited to: Develop robust technical plans to achieve customer requirements and milestones. Oversee execution and delivery of milestones correctly and on-time Generate, review and submit all contractual deliverables Apply change, risk, and resource management. Develop metrics and data to define plans, monitor performance, communicate trends, and incorporate into decision making. Coordinate cross-project activities. Assign tasks to meet work priorities and goals. Assume responsibility for the program's contracts and vendors. Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI. Manage staff training to meet program objectives. Prepare program reports for program directors and senior leadership - technical, schedule and risk status, monthly forecasts, estimate-to-complete with variance analysis and resource loading Lead and/or participate in meetings with upper management. Exercise independent judgment and discretion in overall program management

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering field 5 years of relevant experience 3 years of proven experience as a program manager with costs, scheduling, planning and management Ability to understand technical needs of customers and communicate expectations to others within the organization. Ability to utilize critical thinking to solve complex problems. Excellent oral and written communication skills to include active listening. Must be a U.S. citizen. Ability to obtain a TS security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior US Government and/or military experience a plus Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques, methods, and best practices Demonstrated history of leading successful continuous improvement initiatives across organizational boundaries Excellent knowledge of change management principles Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) Outstanding leadership and organizational skills Excellent problem-solving ability PMP certification

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:$104,000.00 - $174,000.00 annually.
