Spirit AeroSystems Fixed Asset Accountant in Wichita, Kansas

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

· Ensure the accurate recording of weekly payroll expense. Investigate and revolve any variances.

· Complete regular tasks related to period-end accounting close activities; including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial report creation

· Prepare analysis and commentary along with supporting schedules for assigned areas for monthly financial review.

· Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), internal controls, and company and departmental procedures.

· Fulfill requests from both Internal and External auditors

Qualifications

Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 2-4 years of related experience

· Understanding of GAAP and accounting principles

· Positive and proactive attitude along with strong organizational skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work well independently and in a team environment

· Proficiency in Excel required

Preferred Qualifications:

· SAP experience

· Payroll experience

· Fixed asset experience
