We are seeking a talented and motivated junior developer to join our team for Edison Datalogue Connect. As a Software Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining software applications & services. Responsible for software lifecycle including activities such as requirement analysis, documentation/procedures and implementation.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers to design, develop, and maintain healthcare cloud software products.

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Java and Typescript/Angular.

  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the product.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our software development practices.

Desired Characteristics

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles.

  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Typescript, Angular.

  • Experience with Java and the Java-based ecosystem.

  • Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MS SQL Server).

  • Experience with Node.JS or the Spring or Micronaut frameworks is a plus.

  • Experience with containerisation solutions (Docker) or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

  • Voices opinions and presents clear rationale. Uses data or factual evidence to influence.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Seeks to understand problems thoroughly before implementing solutions. Asks questions to clarify requirements when ambiguities are present.

  • Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks. Seeks help independently if stuck.

  • Completes assignments on time and takes responsibility for assigned deliverables.
