Data Engineer (Sterling, VA) - Design and develop data management software applications using Hadoop, JIRA, SQL Server for data extraction, transformation and aggregation from compressed formats; Design and implement Hive Tables and dynamic partitioning for data access using Azure and Big Data; Develop, validate, test, deploy, and monitor predictive models and algorithms in batch and real-time mode using Spark SQL; Design software applications to collect, aggregate, and store dynamic web log data from various sources; Troubleshoot and analyze data defects and propose solutions to rectify issues.
