Google Senior Product Manager, Local Shopping, Google Commerce in Seattle, Washington

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.

  • 3 years of experience building and shipping technical products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Technology, or a business related field.

  • 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).

  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.

  • 2 years of experience with customer-facing product management in eCommerce or related industry, driving full-funnel customer acquisition, product marketing, or site merchandising products/experiences.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority, and deliver results in complex stakeholder environments.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The mission for Google Commerce is to be an essential part of the shopping journey for consumers from inspiration to a simple and secure checkout experience and the best place for retailers/merchants to connect with consumers. We support and partner with the commerce ecosystem, from large retailers to small local merchants, to give them the tools, technology and scale to grow in today’s digital world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Own and define project roadmaps.

  • Drive development and secure buy-in for a product goal that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction.

  • Manage validation of market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, strategic opportunity, business).

  • Lead and harmonize processes to define, identify, collect, and track appropriate product or business metrics, both quantitative and qualitative for new or existing products or business ventures.

  • Lead Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) by collaborating with partner teams (e.g., Engineers, Program Manager, UX) during product design and development. Implement the requirements to turn PRDs into Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for multiple teams.
