DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Objectives The position offers college students the opportunity to work within one section of the Global Analytics department during the summer. Interns are exposed to many facets of analytics work and techniques and are introduced to insurance terminology and concepts. As a member of the Analytics team, students will help analyze data to derive meaningful insights. Tasks may include building, testing, validating and maintaining models for pricing, underwriting or claims functions. Conclusions will be shared with top management to make strategic decisions about Chubb's business. In addition to working closely with their supervisor, interns are given an opportunity to network with other members of the Analytics Department. Positions are located primarily in Philadelphia, PA and Jersey City, NJ.

Desired Qualifications * Undergraduate or Graduate Student in Data Science; Actuarial Science; Mathematics; Economics; Finance. Strong GPA preferred. * Solid analytical and problem-solving skills * Effective written and oral communication skills * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products * Experience with a statistical programming language (i.e. Python) is preferred * Can work collaboratively as part of a team
