NBC Universal Manager, Transportation and Fleet Management in Orlando, Florida

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the systems and team that monitor Universal Orlando (UO) fleet performance. Implement and manage systems for tracking and reporting operational/quality/service issues with UO roadways and the UO transportation network.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the deployment and daily management of Clever Devices Computer Aided Dispatch / Automated Vehicle Locator system. Build and deploy optimized bus schedule templates that minimize daily bus hours and overall energy usage. Collect, reformat, deploy, and manage onboard media content. Regularly spot check data collected by the onboard passenger counters, the Clever central system as well as data shared by both the Clever Metrix interactive dashboard and the Clever Reports daily report module to ensure accuracy.

  • Manage a small team of hourly Transportation Dispatchers that use electronic tools to provide real-time monitoring of 3rd party transportation performance to schedule and guest service standards.

  • Closely manage the performance of the Hitachi 10MW Grid E-Motion medium voltage bus charging system, Hitachi E-Mesh charge management platform, the 1.6MW onsite solar array and the 2.5 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) to minimize carbon emissions, electrical demand charges, and overall energy usage.

  • Implement and maintain a system to regularly conduct spot checks on fleet vehicles -and- 3rd party transportation service providers to ensure they meet UO operational, service and appearance standards. Work directly with our 3rd party transportation provider to have issues resolved in a timely manner.

  • Monitor resort roadway operation and quality. Work with UO internal departments and local agencies to schedule roadway and signage repairs as needed.

  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: A valid Florida state driver’s license is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years’ experience supervising others.

  • Experience using video editing software to transcode video required.

  • Experience using Photoshop to resize pictures required.

  • Project Management experience preferred.

  • Commercial driving experience preferred.
