You Will Be Part of Growing Team

The role of Accountant is to handle and support accounting & finance activities in Corteva business, being a dynamic part of an accounting and controlling team and ensuring strong control environment under the direct supervision of Company Controller.

Your Challenge:

  • Preparation financial statements  

  • Accrual and prepayment postings (provisions etc.)  

  • Prepare the COGS templates accurately and ensure that all the necessary inputs are captured in the computation  

  • Perform INCO reconciliations and make follows ups on payments of balances owed while organising for payment of balances owing  

  • Month and Year end closing activities  

  • Monthly general ledger, supplier and customer account reconciliations  

  • Be an active part of implementation of internal control procedures 

  • Ensure timely completion of Audits by providing necessary information and managing correspondence with the audit team

  • Perform checks between the local books and global system and ensure they are tallying

  • Preparation of VAT, WHT on time and provision of data for preparation of Corporate Income Tax

Qualifications

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

  • University Degree in Accounting/Finance or Full ACCA qualification

  • Min 3 years accounting experience, preferably in an international company    

  • Experience on tax declarations, especially CIT (corporate income tax and withholding tax)  

  • Knowledge on fixed asset and cost accounting  

  • Previous experience in audit or working experience within the big 4 beneficial

  • SAP and Pastel knowledge beneficial

  • Good English level  

  • Knowledge of Local GAAP, USGAAP or IFRS experience will be a plus  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (in particular, advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills) is essential,
