Radiance is searching for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to provide support to critical computer systems and network infrastructure within the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Systems Engineering Directorate (SED). The qualified candidate will provide design, maintenance, sustainment, and enhancement support for the architecture in a classified and unclassified environment; ensure compliance with applicable information assurance requirements; ensure 24/7 continuity of operations; and create and update relevant system documents. Work hours are normal business hours during a regular workweek, however, occasional support during non-business hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

Serve as an IT technical representative to the government.

Conduct day-to-day system administration of the hardware and software.

Provide hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support.

Support diagnosis and corrects computer, server, and network system issues.

Support diagnosis and provide recommendations to unique hardware devices, custom operating systems, and custom applications.

Support IT/technical enhancements to enhance security of systems such as a technical refresh for servers, switches, fast speed cameras, time equipment, etc.

Provide continuous status information to ensure customer satisfaction.

Initiate customer contact, initiate warranty requirements, and escalates to appropriate parties for resolution.

Support disaster recovery requirements and support establishing the environment.

Support development environment requirements and support establishing the environment.

Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voicemail, e-mail, and in person requests for assistance from users experiencing technical problems.

Respond to technical issues as they arise.

Ensure consistent technical direction and understanding between government and contractor staff; and ensure consistent IT processes, practices and documentation as required in support of Risk Management Framework (RMF), EMASS, lab operations or system operations.

Report IT status to government and program managers.

Perform other IT duties as assigned including support of range equipment such as generators, antennas, stands or other communications or tactical nodes.

Support building, configuring, and troubleshooting software and hardware enhancements, printers, application deployments and infrastructure up-grades.

Support monthly, quarterly, or other frequency patch cycles.

Ability to present network design using Microsoft Tools (Visio, Project, PowerPoint, etc.).

Required Experience

Must have an associate degree from an accredited academic institution in Information Technology or related field and at least 8 years of experience with DoD Systems Administration and/or Information Technology Support.

Must have a Security+ Certification with the ability to pursue other certifications such related to IAT Level II/III Certifications.

Must have an Operating Environment Certification.

Prefer familiarity with TIGs including DISA/NETCOM/Army G6 requirements.

A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a System Administrator, performing patching and configuring systems to be compliant with DoD standards and compliance.

Must have Linux experience such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, National Instruments Linux, others.

Must be able to update and modify switches such as CISCO, Hewlett Packard, and others.

Must be able to support rapid environments supporting Science and Technology (SandT), as well as program of record applications.

Must be familiar with the DoD requirements to support operations or communications.

Must have professional hands-on experience in design and implementation of technologies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interface with numerous cognizant security agencies, customers, and senior management.

Required Skills

Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain clearance. Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.

Experience with M365 and working knowledge of Azure AD

Strong experience with MS Active Directory, access controls and general user administration principles

Strong experience creating/managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

Physical Requirements

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.

Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

Communicating with others to exchange information.

Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Travel Requirements

Travel - 25% or less.

If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Desired Qualifications

Prefer a Linux + Certification.

Prefer a Network + Certification.

Prefer experience with setting up systems and connecting to Local Area Network and Wide Area Networks technically as well as gaining proper approval.

Prefer the ability to support with troubleshooting issues in multiple labs.

Prefer the ability to support process creation, solve problems and able to work in a collaborative environment.

Prior experience as a System Administrator at an organization of similar size and complexity.

Knowledge of Information Assurance and Cyber Security.

Knowledge and experience with various network administration, monitoring, and security tools (Wireshark, Nessus).

Experience with SIEM tools, VMWare, NetApp, endpoint security tools.

Familiar with CMMC and NIST/DFARS compliance security controls and how to implement on various OS computer systems.
