The AWS EC2 Images team is at the forefront of revolutionizing cloud computing by providing robust, scalable, and efficient solutions for managing virtual machine images on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) platform. We are a diverse team of passionate engineers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in cloud technology.

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) within the AWS EC2 Images team, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimization of software systems that power the management of virtual machine images in the cloud. Our engineers work in everything from low-level code in C, to applications in Java and Scala, and automation in Ruby/Python/etc. You will work closely with a team of highly skilled engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
