Our facility is recognized by U.S News & World Report Job Details Responsibilities Perform thorough patient cardiac history and risk factors. Perform assessment of blood pressure. Demonstrate the ability to accurately use the cholestech machine and verbalizes correct action for abnormal cholesterol and glucose results. Demonstrate the educational skills needed to instruct and educate patients regarding exercise, diet and other lifestyle modifications that may be needed to reduce cardiovascular disease risk. Properly manages information. Patient documentation is accurate and complete. Accurately evaluate patient response to the information given. Evaluate patients results and makes appropriate referrals. Perform follow up phone calls to patients given emergent referrals. Exhibit knowledge in the specialty area of community health. Verbalize and actively participates in departments performance improvement plan. Participate in continuing education. Demonstrate ability to utilize AED. Demonstrate the ability to properly perform venipuncture technique. Requirements BSN in nursing required Med-Surg clinical experience with an emphasis on cardiovascular care, minimum of 2 years required Patient teaching/counseling experience preferred Public speaking experience desirable Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association Must be able to perform cardiovascular patient assessment and be able to physically transport supplies to and from community sites Salary Range USD $52.14 - USD $78.49 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
