MISO Energy Lead/Manager Resource Adequacy in Eagan, Minnesota

Location: Carmel, IN or Eagan, MN

If so, we invite you to explore the opportunity of becoming our Lead/Manager of Resource Adequacy !

In the pivotal role of Lead/Manager of Resource Adequacy , you will oversee business activities to ensure Resource Adequacy (RA) outcomes are achieved promptly and in compliance with the tariff. You will play a part in facilitating executive communication and presentations on future RA scenarios and their implications. Your responsibilities will include engagement with customers, state and federal regulators, and stakeholders, driving enhancements to improve efficiency, and ensuring the reliable integration of RA reforms within existing business tools and processes. Additionally, you will focus on developing team capabilities with an emphasis on business continuity, skillset relevance, and succession planning.

In your first year as Lead/Manager of Resource Adequacy , your success will be measured by your ability to develop and apply a comprehensive understanding of Resource Adequacy business practices, tools, and stakeholder needs to sustain and enhance ongoing RA activities and outcomes. You will also identify and champion process and technology changes in alignment with MISO's corporate objectives.

We seek candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or related degree; and at least three years technical experience in Resource Adequacy, or related field.

While not mandatory, the following attributes would be highly desirable:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, economics, or business.

  • Eight years of experience within any of the following areas: ISO/RTO Resource Adequacy, Generation interconnection or Transmission Planning, Utility resource planning, state regulatory engagement, energy/capacity market design or operations.

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
