Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Belgrade, Serbia

As a Senior Program Manager on our team, you will play a key role in taking our cutting-edge research into applications that provide delightful experiences for our users worldwide. You will collaborate closely with teams across Microsoft to define the next generation AI experience for Windows customers. You will work closely with a diverse team to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions in a dynamic environment.  

The successful candidate will have a growth mindset and high integrity as well as proven program management experience in delivering complex and/or large-scale projects with cross-functional and geo-distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Roadmap and delivery: driving overall program and project roadmap, schedule, release and adjustments, driving resolution of technical and architectural challenges.

  • Backlog, dependencies, and requirements: in collaboration with research and engineering, maintaining prioritized backlog and driving accountability of cross team dependencies and requirements. 

  • Cross org alignment: working with immediate team, stakeholders, and teams across organizations, roles, and geographies to align on shared goals and OKRs. 

  • Rhythm of Business and reporting process: consolidate, contribute, and review all relevant data views and updates for the various reporting forums (updates, deep dives, business, and service reviews). 

Qualifications

Required Q *ualifications *

  • Extensive experience in the software industry, with experience in technical program management or in similar roles.   

  • Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, or related technical discipline OR relevant experience.

  • Experience across the complete product cycle, from initial design to execution and release process. 

  • Experience in software projects based on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including articulating complex issues and solutions.   

  • Strong project, stakeholder, and partner management with experience in working with large-scale, cross-functional, geo-distributed teams. 

  • Innate curiosity and the ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fluid environment. We look for self-starters and innovators with a positive, can-do attitude and bias for action.  

  • Affinity towards user-centered design, product thinking, and innovation on behalf of the customer.
