Applied Research Associates, Inc. DevSecOps Engineer in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description

As a Staff DevSecOps Engineer, you’ll be a core member of our dynamic Corporate IT team. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple business units as you develop and support company-wide DevSecOps platforms, secure cloud solutions and projects, create integration solutions for existing cloud and on-prem services and integrate DevSecOps practices with a deep emphasis on security and reliability.   • What you’ll do as a Staff DevOps Engineer

  • Work closely with Software Developers and IT staff on On-Premises and Cloud “DevSecOps” initiatives

  • Leverage REST APIs, JSON and other common API models to develop integrations between software tooling and environments

  • Work with internal customers on solutions built on common DevOps technologies including GitLab, Atlassian, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure

  • Create and support commodity DevOps tools, CI/CD practices, and documentation

  • Provide support and technical assistance to end users on a variety of issues

  • Present solution designs to various stakeholders for input, buy-in, and sign-off

  • Ensure that the system design balances functional, service quality, and security compliance requirements

  • Staff DevOps Engineer Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent along with 11 years relevant experience or BS degree in Computer Science or related field with 5-7 years experience

  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines and developing automations

  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages

  • Experience developing integrations with REST API, webhook

  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, which includes US citizenship

  • Staff DevOps Engineer Preferences

  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu

  • Experience using common programming languages including Java, Python, GoLang

  • Experience with Visual Studio Professional / Visual Studio Code

  • Experience using GitLab CI/CD

  • Experience with GitOps (e.g. FluxCD or ArgoCD)

  • Experience with front-end development frameworks such as React UI

  • DoD experience

  • Secret Security Clearance – Active or Inactive
